They say opposites attract, and I couldn’t agree more when it comes to Catherine and Cooper.

From my time spent with this sweet couple, I could see how Catherine and Cooper balanced each other out perfectly. Catherine with a bubbly, outgoing personality. Cooper with a more laid back, reserved presence.

I’m sure Cooper’s calm demeanor helped Catherine remain at ease in the final days leading up to the big day. Storms were in the forecast, but Catherine decided she would go with the flow no matter what happened. Then Saturday arrived and the sun arrived with it!

As expected Catherine was chatty and candidly excited while Cooper was laid back and low-key. He kept his excitement and emotions more contained, but that all changed when the ceremony came around.

When Catherine and her father made their way down the huge country club steps, there was no denying what Cooper was feeling at that moment. He tried with all his might to keep it together, but his  overwhelming emotions were given away by the tears welling up in his eyes. This was his bride. His best friend for life.

Catherine and Cooper exchanged vows and spent the evening celebrating with their friends and family – Celebrating two opposite people who were perfectly made for each other!

Every bride has a vision of what her wedding day will look like. And it’s safe to say that most brides picture a bright, sunny day.

It was the last week of April, and the Saturday forecast said 100% chance of rain. Well Mackenzie and Matt’s wedding day came, and it didn’t just rain.. it poured! I knew the weather wasn’t quite what Mackenzie envisioned for her wedding. However, there were moments for her that meant so much more than a sunny day! Like getting ready with her best friends in the home where she grew up, spending time with her precious dog, Peyton, and walking down the aisle to the man God made for her.

The perfect dress, beautiful flowers, gorgeous venue… As fun as those details are, they compare nothing to the moments Mackenzie and Matt shared and memories they made with their loved ones.

Those moments shined so much brighter than the sun ever could!

Goodness what a sweet, smart, beautiful young lady!

Uma and her family recently moved from Iowa to Oklahoma. The move brought them to Edmond where Uma will graduate from Edmond Memorial High School.

I’m sure moving to a different state in the middle of high school would be difficult. However, I’m so happy Oklahoma gained this wonderful, new resident! And she will remain in Oklahoma when she attends OU in the fall!

Here are some of my favorite portraits from Uma’s senior session in Oklahoma City.
P.S… I really want to raid her closet!

SWEET WORDS FROM UMA!
“The thought of being the only one behind the camera is nerve wracking. Although after a few shots within the first 5 minutes Aubrey brings your nerves to ease. She makes the whole experience fun and makes it feel so comfortable. She makes it seem like you know exactly what you’re doing. My pictures are spectacular. My family was speechless and will cherish these pictures forever. I love them because they reflect me and made me feel confident. I couldn’t help but smile looking through my pictures because it was so hard to believe that it was me in them!”
– Uma

You know those weird nightmares you have before a special occasion or important event? Like you have a class presentation and you show up without any pants on.

Well my bride, Erin, introduced me to photo session nightmares.

After we wrapped up Erin and Tanner’s engagement session, Erin told me about the scary dream she had the evening before the shoot. In her dream, I used Erin and Tanner’s engagement pictures as examples of “What Not to Wear” and “This is Why You Should Get Professional Hair and Makeup”.

Needless to say, Erin had absolutely nothing to worry about! 🙂

He didn’t walk. He ran.

Katherine and Tyler exchanged vows in the same place Tyler’s parents married years before. I’m sure a few things about weddings have changed since then. One new tradition being the First Look – something Katherine and Tyler chose to do on their day. And the moment Tyler saw Katherine, he did not walk to her. He ran!

That is what stood out on the big day. The excitement and the joy! There was no way you could miss it, especially on Katherine’s face.

Wishing the new Mr. and Mrs. Moore many, many years of smiles and running to each other!
